The breakfasts\, sponsored by Centra Southside Community Hospital\, offers a unique opportunity for individuals from all walks of life to unite in prayer\, reflecting on topics that resonate with our community’s needs and aspirations.  The Robert Russa Moton Museum is honored to continue this tradition and invites all community members to participate in these uplifting events. Let us come together to share in the power of prayer and community\, reinforcing our commitment to a society built on mutual respect\, understanding\, and progress. \nAdmission is free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Robert Russa Moton Museum on Saturday\, November 9th\, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for Profiles in Courage: Honoring Moton’s Veterans\, a special panel discussion in recognition of Veterans Day. \nThis program features a panel of Moton’s very own—Bob Hamlin\, Charlie Taylor\, Everett Berryman\, Cornell Walker\, and Chuckie Reid—Black veterans who proudly served our country and endured the disruptions caused by the Prince Edward County school closings. The event is free and open to the public. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session\, followed by a reception with light refreshments. \nWe invite the community to join us in honoring their service and hearing their remarkable stories.
