Ely to Griffin: The Forgotten Black History of Farmville

February 16, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Moton Museum joins with the Longwood University Office of Multicultural Affairs for a Town Hall discussion regarding the often overlooked and forgotten Black History of Farmville and Prince Edward County. Our local black history is rich and we will seek to elevate some of those stories during this conversation.

Black History Month programming sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Longwood explores the people, moments, and movements that have helped to shape and continue to shape Black History & Culture within our communities, across the Commonwealth, and across the Country.

Ways to Give to Moton

Any gift has the ability to make an impact that far exceeds its size. Together we can work to share the Moton Story and ensure that countless individuals know how Prince Edward County became the birthplace of the student-led civil rights movement.

2022 gifts helped us engage with more than 20,000 individuals via our onsite and offsite programming.
Help us continue this important work with your gift. All donations are tax deductible.
