Lessons for the Future: A Brown v. Board of Education Commemoration

The Prince Edward County Branch of the NAACP and the R.R. Moton Museum present Lessons for the Future: An Observance of the 71st Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education, 66th Anniversary of the Prince Edward County School Closures, and the 61st Anniversary of Griffin v. Prince Edward County.

Starting May 15th we will have a robust schedule featuring panel discussions, guided tours, keynote speakers, and will end with the annual NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet. This year the banquet will take place on 5/17/25 at 3:00pm at the Fireman Sports Arena. Dr. Eric Griffin of St. Stephen United Church of Christ in Greensboro, NC will be the Keynote speaker. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased from Mr. A.D. “Chuckie” Reid ([email protected]).

The remaining events during the commemoration are free and open to the public with light refreshments to be provided. Please let us know if you have any questions.
