November invites reflection. The year begins to draw toward its close, the season settles in, and our thoughts turn naturally toward gratitude—for the people who strengthen our communities and the responsibilities we share within them.

On Tuesday, November 3, we will begin Election Day at Moton with one of the museum’s longest-running traditions: the Moton Community Prayer Breakfast.

Join us at 7:30 a.m. for a morning of prayer, reflection and fellowship, with breakfast prepared by Jay K Cooks Catering. As our community begins an important civic day, we welcome neighbors of all backgrounds and perspectives to share this time with us.

As you make plans for November 3, we also encourage you to know your polling place and make a plan for how you will participate in Election Day. Virginia voters can confirm their registration and polling information through the Virginia Department of Elections.
