On April 23, 1951 at the age of 16, Barbara Johns led a student strike for equal education at R.R. Moton High School in Farmville, Prince Edward County, Virginia. Join the Virginia Museum of History & Culture and the Robert Russa Moton Museum for our FREE Barbara John’s Day webinar to learn more about Barbara Johns life and legacy. We will share the impact that Barbara and other Prince Edward students had on advancing civil rights in education
