The Moton Museum is Virginia’s only civil rights museum dedicated to promoting and preserving the civil rights history of Prince Edward County and the leading role its citizens played in advancing equality for all.

Unrestricted gifts to the Moton Annual Fund truly make an impact on every aspect of the museum. Moton Annual Fund gifts help fuel and advance our mission — helping to facilitate cost related to events and public programs.

These gifts also support school and community group tours and activities, creative learning experiences for families and individuals of all ages, and teacher training and re-certification workshops.

Any employer matching gifts count toward your total annual contribution.

Your gift to the Moton Annual Fund will help us to train the next generation of bright youthful thinkers and doers.

Ways to Give to Moton

Any gift has the ability to make an impact that far exceeds its size. Together we can work to share the Moton Story and ensure that countless individuals know how Prince Edward County became the birthplace of the student-led civil rights movement.

2022 gifts helped us engage with more than 20,000 individuals via our onsite and offsite programming.
Help us continue this important work with your gift. All donations are tax deductible.
