On October 27 and 28, more than 50 members of the Robert R. Moton High School class of 1953 returned to Farmville for their 48th anniversary. On Saturday evening they gathered for a reunion and on Sunday morning, at the Moton Museum, held a memorial service for members of their class who are not longer living. As part of that service, class representatives Fannie Carter Silver, of Farmville, and James Allen, of Richmond, presented a group photograph of the class to the Moton Museum. Accepting the photo on behalf of the museum is Carl U. Eggleston, vice president of the board of directors.
