A Celebration of Purpose
The number of participating cultural institutions has tripled since the Museum Store Association (MSA) launched Museum Store Sunday in 2017. The global campaign’s slogan, “Shop with Purpose,” highlights the mission to support museums and the communities they serve while offering meaningful, locally sourced gifts.
This season, Moton will also host its 14th Annual Moton Holiday Social: Simply Chic – Sip, Shop & Socialize on Monday, December 8, 2025, featuring the Moton Library & Lounge, festive vendors, and so much more. Details are available on the Museum’s website and social media pages.
About the Robert Russa Moton Museum
The Robert Russa Moton Museum in Farmville, Virginia, is the National Historic Landmark that once served as Robert Russa Moton High School. In 1951, students led by Barbara Rose Johns organized a strike for equal educational opportunities—an act of courage that became one of the five cases comprising Brown v. Board of Education. Today, the Museum preserves and interprets this history through exhibitions, education, and community engagement.
About the Museum Store Association
The Museum Store Association (MSA) is dedicated to advancing the nonprofit retail industry and the professionals engaged in it. Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, MSA provides the tools and community to help cultural institutions and their commercial partners expand the visitor experience, enabling them to take a piece of that experience home.
