Longwood University is pleased to welcome Ms. Sydney Trent who will give a keynote address for the 2019 MLK Celebration Week. Ms. Sydney Trent serves as the Social Issues Editor at The Washington Post. Fortuitously for Longwood and Farmville, Ms. Trent is also the god-daughter of Barbara Johns and granddaughter of Vernon Johns. The Keynote will be held in Jarman Auditorium, starting at 7:00 p.m., and a reception will immediately follow in the rear lobby of the Chichester Science Center.
