Children of Courage: A New Stage Play in Development
STAGE READERS NEEDED
No Experience? No Problem.
More than a decade ago, the people of Prince Edward County came together to help tell their own story.
In 2010, local residents portrayed the students, families, and community members whose courage changed American history in Strike, the film produced by Tim Reid.
We told this story together once. Let’s tell it together again.
The Robert Russa Moton Museum and Waterworks Players have commissioned award-winning playwright Harrison David Rivers to develop Children of Courage—a new stage play inspired by Moton Museum’s permanent exhibition.
We’re seeking stage readers to bring the voices of students, educators, parents, community members, and civic leaders from the 1951 Moton story to life. No experience is necessary.
